MIF Inhibition In Cancer
In addition to its role in inflammation, MIF has been validated as a therapeutic target in numerous cancers, including (but not limited to)
- Colon cancer
- Prostate cancer
- Ovarian cancer
- Gastric cancer
- Breast cancer
In the case of colon cancer, a potential role in cancer prevention in patients with extensive colitis is suggested by the dual contribution of MIF to colitis and colon cancer.
